The NSW All Schools Softball Team won the 2012 School Sport Australia Championship today by defeating Queensland 3 runs to 1 in a gripping Final.

Finishing in the top position after preliminary rounds, NSW had to face 4th placed South Australia to earn a position in the Championship game. The NSW Blues fired, winning the match 11 - 0 in four innings. NSW v SA Play By Play
Grand Final match NSW v QLD: NSW scored in the first inning with Qld replying in the 2nd. Scores were locked until the Top of the 7th when Nicola Maitland singled, scoring Jordyn Christensen and Jessica Meyer. NSW defended their lead in the bottom of 7 to take the victory 3 runs to 1. Seven NSW players were selected into the Australian School Girls Team; Amelia CUDICIO, Alice DONOHOE, Beth HOBDEN, Rachel LACK, Nicola MAITLAND, Jessica MEYER and Tahli MOORE. The Australian team will compete in the NSW International Challenge at BISP from July 26th - 29th.
