U19 MALE & FEMALE STATE CAMP INFORMATION
The 2010 U19 Men’s & Women’s State Camp will be held on July 17 & 18 at the NSW Softball Centre commencing at 9:30am each day and concluding at 4:00pm.
The camp is open to any player born in 1992, 1993 & 1994 who believe they have the potential of making the 2011 NSW U19 Women’s Team or the 2011 NSW U19 Men’s Team.
Players who are still eligible for the U17 Team eg DOB 1994 are welcome to attend the camp and can make themselves available to be considered for the U19 team. If you do not wish to be considered please indicate on the registration form.
The camp is an important part of the selection process. You need to indicate on the attached form whether you are or are not standing for selection. If you cannot attend the camp on medical grounds then a certificate needs to accompany the form. Applications for exemptions on any other grounds need to be received in writing prior to the closing date eg playing commitments at your affiliate.
Following U19 State Camps a training squad will be selected. Players not selected in this group will still be considered for selection. More information about the training squad will be provided at the camp. Please ensure you have all playing gear in addition to drinks and lunch with you at the camp.
If players are successful in being selected in the team then all trainings are compulsory, however players undertaking their HSC will need to discuss exemptions directly with the Head Coach.
There will be a meeting for parents at 9:30am all parents are expected to attend.
The 2011 NSW U19 Teams will play in Sydney January 16 - 22 2011 (Females) and Melbourne 16 – 22 January 2011 (Males).
If you wish to trial for the 2011 U19 Male or Female Team you must complete the 2010 U19 State Camp Acceptance Form and return it to the Softball NSW Office by NO LATER than July 13, 2010. $25 levy must be paid when the form is submitted.
